ABOUT ABOUT

Enjoy an evening of comedy from comedians of the Drinking Partners - On Tap performance.

Headliner: MYQ KAPLAN

Myq Kaplan is a comedian named Myq Kaplan (pronounced “Mike”). He is a 2010 Last Comic Standing Finalist and has appeared on the Tonight Show with Conan O’Brien, the Late Show with David Letterman, Comedy Central Presents, and all the other places he’s been. You can listen to Myq’s podcast, Hang Out With Me, on the Keith and The Girl network. His debut CD, Vegan Mind Meld, was one of iTunes’ top ten best-selling comedy albums in 2010, followed by Meat Robot in 2013 and his one-hour Netflix special Small Dork and Handsome in 2014.

The Comedians magazine calls him “a comedy machine, in the best possible way. the way that some machines vend soda or prevent other machines from killing future revolutionaries – that’s how Myq Kaplan does comedy: relentlessly, methodically, unblinkingly.”

Featuring: Sean Collier

Sean Collier was described as a “budding media personality” by the Pittsburgh City Paper, and no one – least all of him – seems to know what that means.

What is verifiable about Sean is a varied list of roles around town. He’s the movie critic for the WDVE Morning Show. He’s the associate editor of Pittsburgh Magazine. He’s a stand-up comic, with frequent appearances at the Pittsburgh Improv and throughout the region as part of the Steel City Comedy Tour; he’s also been a part of every DVE Comedy Festival. He’s appeared in storytelling shows, sketch comedy, Shakespearean tragedies, panel discussions, radio drop-ins, and more.

A Pittsburgh native and current Mount Washington resident, Sean has degrees in English and Theater Arts from Penn State, and is a 2002 alum of the sadly defunct Pennsylvania Governor’s School for the Arts.

Featuring: T-Robe

Tony "T-ROBE' Roberson started comedy in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania by wowing crowds at open mics and local bars.  Since then he has shared the stage with film and television stars like Dave Chappelle (Chappelle's Show), Kevin Hart (Think Like A Man), Katt Williams, John Witherspoon (Friday), Tommy Davidson (In Living Color), Charlie Murphy (Chappelle's Show), and many more.

In the past few years T-Robe has elevated his career from touring all over the country appearing in comedy clubs, colleges, theaters and arenas to appearing on Shaq's All-Star Jam, the Pittsburgh Steelers, Baltimore Ravens, the Seattle Seahawks, and some of the biggest corporations in the world.

He was a regular on Jim Krenn's morning show on Q92.9.  T-Robe also appeared on the season 1 finale of BET's "The Gary Owen Show".

Hosted by: Ed Bailey and Day Bracey

Ed Bailey - Born and raised in Cleveland, OH, Ed Bailey’s family noticed his quick wit early on in life. While that wit sometimes landed him in trouble, it often was the source of great entertainment for those who bore witness. After high school, the University of Pittsburgh brought him to Pittsburgh, PA where he would make a name for himself as a comedian. During his brief career as a comedian, Ed has been able to capture the attention of some of the most recognizable figures in comedy such as Eddie Griffin and Hannibal Burress which is a testament to his ability to relate to anyone while on stage. His talents have also landed him a successful podcast that he co-hosts with comedian Day Bracey called Drinking Partners on the Epicast Network.

Day Bracey - A polygamist, simultaneously married to bacon and booze, Day Bracey once led a mostly private life, in fear of persecution from a conservative right winged christian society who wouldn’t understand his inability to choose between two loves. That is, until his giveaf*** was blown away in a massive explosion of Shape-ups and tasteless Subway sandwiches. Armed with his sword of common sense and shield of free thought, Day Bracey now roams the Earth, striking down ignorance and BS wherever they may rear their ugly heads. A guerrilla against a well established army of stupidity, his methods of attack have been described as surprising and borderline radical, but precise and well planned. Think you have what it takes to last in the field? Join Day and his Detarded Army, as he calls attention to life’s hidden absurdities, and gives you the tools necessary to battle them! Also, he tells poop jokes.
